iPhone 6 (iPhone 4 & 5 Successor?) Rendered: No LTE & Still AT&T [iPhone Fan Designs Future iPhone 6 Smartphone; Not Nearly As Magical As the Real iPhone 6 from Apple]

The iPhone 5, even if rumored to be in testing as we speak, is going to be available only at some point in 2011. Following it we’ll certainly have an iPhone 6 smartphone and an Apple fan with some clear designing skills and free time on his/her hands imagined what it would look like. Naturally we don’t expect it to be more magical than the actual future iPhone 6, but let’s take a look at what this design proposes.
The first thing we’d expect this iPhone 6 to be is a genuine LTE handset but this design doesn’t appear to offer such features. Moreover the iPhone 6 is still showing AT&T as the default carrier and appears to be running an iOS 4.x version. But the iPhone 6 won’t be downgradeable to older iOS versions, will it?
The iPhone 6 is apparently made of an aluminum shell that will replace the current Gorilla glass and the new design will get “rid of the antenna problem by moving it externally.” Really? As opposed to its current, external position?

The iPhone 6 seems a bit longer and wider than its predecessors and it’s even slimmer than current models. Other changes include a redesigned home button also made of aluminum, an USB/charger connector and dock, a solar panel on the back that would harness the power of the sun for some extra battery life, a front-facing camera and a camera with LED flash on the back.

This iPhone 6 concept shouldn’t be taken seriously at this point, especially as it presents certain inconsistencies, but it’s definitely interesting to see what fans imagine for the future generations of the iPhone. There’s no point fantasizing about the distant future as the iPhone 5 is not even out in the wild yet. In fact that’s the Apple smartphone we should be focusing on in a few months from now.

What would you like to change in your current iPhone 4 model and what features do you expect the next-gen Apple phone to offer next summer?
