Fate seemed to bring Kelly Canter (Gwyneth Paltrow), Beau Hutton (Garrett Hedlund), and Chiles Stanton (Leighton Meester) in a complicated problem that characterizes the life of three people brought together by this same world. All have the same desire and they also faced more or less the same constraints as well.
Kelly is a country singer who slumped in his life. Since its popularity down, Kelly became emotional and unstable. One time, there is an opportunity for Kelly to restore the mess of his career. At the same time, there is a new comer named Beau Hutton who have career opportunities in the world of country music. Both were then united in a scenario that would benefit both.
By command of Ed (Tim McGraw), the manager as well as Kelly's husband, both then held a series of country music concerts. Unfortunately, on the way, there is a growing sense of love between Kelly and Beau. The scenario was originally turned into a complicated simple. Not to mention the long concert that also involves Chiles Stanton, the ambitious former beauty queen became country music diva.

Takdir seolah mempertemukan Kelly Canter (Gwyneth Paltrow), Beau Hutton (Garrett Hedlund), dan Chiles Stanton (Leighton Meester) dalam satu masalah rumit yang mewarnai jalan hidup tiga orang yang disatukan oleh dunia yang sama ini. Semua memiliki keinginan yang sama dan ketiganya juga dihadapkan pada kendala yang kurang lebih sama juga.
Kelly adalah seorang penyanyi country yang terpuruk dalam hidupnya. Sejak popularitasnya turun, Kelly jadi emosional dan tak stabil. Suatu ketika, ada peluang buat Kelly untuk memulihkan kariernya yang berantakan. Di saat yang sama, ada pendatang baru bernama Beau Hutton yang punya peluang karier di dunia musik country. Keduanya lantas bersatu dalam sebuah skenario yang bakal menguntungkan keduanya.
Dengan komando dari Ed (Tim McGraw), sang manajer sekaligus suami Kelly, keduanya lantas menggelar serangkaian konser musik country. Sayangnya, di tengah perjalanan, ada rasa cinta yang tumbuh di antara Kelly dan Beau. Skenario yang semula sederhana pun berubah jadi rumit. Belum lagi konser panjang itu juga melibatkan Chiles Stanton, mantan ratu kecantikan yang berambisi jadi diva musik country.
