Steve Irwin, the Australian television personality and environmentalist known as the 'Crocodile Hunter, has been killed by a stingray during a diving expedition. He was 44. According to Australian Associated Press, Irwin is believed to have been killed by a stingray barb that went through his chest. He was filming an underwater documentary off Port Douglas when the accident occurred says AAP. His American-born wife Terri was reported to be trekking in Tasmania at the time of the incident. My thoughts go out to his wife and young children.
