App退費問題 北市令google限期改善台北市法規會發函蘋果公司及
Google台灣分公司，要求函到後十五天內修改線上軟體商店服務條款、增加
APP退費機制，否則可依消費者保護法，最高罰新台幣一百五十萬元。
台北市政府法規委員會主任委員葉慶元表示，昨天發現蘋果的Apple Store出現1款瑕疵軟體，下載後毫無作用，涉及詐欺。
google未提供7天試用鑑賞期深入了解後發現，Apple Store與Google的Android Market提供消費者透過網路下載手機應用軟體，卻未提供7天試用鑑賞期
APP退費，讓消費者無法在期限內無條件解約退費，已違反消費者保護法規定。
葉慶元表示，法規會已去函蘋果亞洲股份有限公司及美商科高國際有限公司台灣分公司（
Google），要求APP退費屆期改善，否則可依消保法第五十八條處六萬至一百五十萬元罰鍰。
葉慶元說，去年市府與網路平台業者達成協議，提供七日免費鑑賞期，但透過手機購買軟體是新興消費行為，當時並未注意到
APP退費這個部分。
消費者選購App手機注重服務及擴充性他表示，消費者選購手機買的不只是硬體，還有服務及擴充性，但蘋果及
Google 的服務條款均對第三人研發的應用軟體表示不承擔經銷責任，這是不負責任的商業手法。
對消費者檢舉有詐欺嫌疑的軟體，葉慶元表示，若確實有損害消費者財產之虞，會依據消保法第三十六條要求業者停止販售，下架退款，若業者不配合，同樣可依消保法第五十八條處罰。

If this is not available for you out of the box in the settings page (details, content, plug-ins), you can enable it in
about:flags, "click-to-play". You have to restart Chrome for it to take effect. As before, I really don't know why they removed it from the settings page in the first place.
In that same flags page you can also disallow the
reading of third party cookies.

創Google翻譯歌 國軍樂手暴紅Google會唱歌？在國防部示範樂隊服役的二十五歲鋼琴家官大為以Google翻譯發音為基礎，創作出「
Google翻譯歌」。
翻譯歌兩天六萬人次點閱前天官大為將ＭＶ發表在Youtube網站（http://youtu.be/mqsrPNXEGdc），上線不到兩天就吸引超過六萬人次點閱，網友盛讚這首
Google翻譯歌「太神了！」官大為昨得知網友反應熱烈，顯得相當意外，直呼：「我的媽呀！謝謝大家！」
《蘋果》昨前往官大為板橋住處採訪，已有二十年鋼琴演奏經驗的他說，當初會有創作靈感，是因朋友臉書張貼若在Google翻譯輸入九個「幹」，會出現《給愛麗斯》的音調，「想說用這個來做歌會很酷」。因此他在歌曲中原汁原味呈現連續七個「幹」字，還讓Google翻譯秀一段「中文Beatbox（模仿樂器口技）」。
這首
Google翻譯歌兩分二十秒歌曲，花費官大為三個休假日、總共二十小時創作。他說，最辛苦的就是「一個字、一個字調音、每個字設定它的音調」。他以鋼琴、貝斯、爵士鼓以及電鋼琴四種樂器編曲，副歌部分甚至用上三至四部合音，讓單調的電腦音展現出「個性」。
網友喊讚封「神曲」網友kevin9225213稱讚：「這比台灣很多歌手唱得還好聽，拿來做翻譯真是太可惜。」網友wulong607說：「
Google翻譯歌被封為神曲也不為過，太強啦！」面對好評，再過兩個月就要退伍的官大為說，如想到新的梗就可以再創作，也不排除讓Google翻譯唱軍歌。

Google has just released a stable version of the browser that is homemade Chrome 9. This update is the first non-beta application that has the Chrome Web Store that can be accessed to obtain the desired web application. Use the application provided, either Flash, HTML5, and other code, can behave like a normal application that can be purchased or downloaded.

For a single version during beta, 10.1.102.64ubuntu0.9.10.1m, Chrome beta supported a nice, elegantly working plugin blocker. In the content settings you could choose to use plugins on demand. Now in 10.1.102.65ubuntu0.9.10.1 it's disappeared again.
I think the reasons are probably the Adobe alliance allowing Google to distribute Flash with its browser and phones on the one hand and Google getting its money from advertizing. And flash ads probably just make more money. We can conclude that Chrome will probably be the last browser to include features users want but advertizers don't.

It's been all over the news that Google is starting a pilot program for it's Chrome OS, which I expect to be out within a few months. The pilot program is probably meant to get the last polish for the system. As my readers will know I'm always excited about new technology, especially dealing with Linux. All you need to know really is that it works via
googlecl. Once you've installed that, it's as easy as google picasa post --title "Albumname" path/to/video.avi. And Google webspace is cheap with 20 G for 5 $ a year - with full control over your privacy. (Better than facebook anyway.)
Ok, you may need to upgrade to a
current python-gdata and remove your old config files: rm -r ~/.googlecl/ for it to work. But it does work!

Posting with Blogger is now really easy just using the command line. An example command looks like this
google blogger --blog="Linux Tipps & More" --title="Some title" post "Here comes the content"
You can of course put all this into a script so it becomes even easier to post new blog entries:
google blogger --blog="Linux Tipps & More" --title="$1" --tags=$2 post "$3".

As a response to the incident of a
sophisticated Chinese attack on Google's infrastructure, the Chinese Google search has now been de-censored.
We have decided we are no longer willing to continue censoring our results on Google.cn, and so over the next few weeks we will be discussing with the Chinese government the basis on which we could operate an unfiltered search engine within the law, if at all. We recognize that this may well mean having to shut down Google.cn, and potentially our offices in China.

When you get Chrome for Linux beta from Google or Chromium from the Ubuntu repository, there is some tracking code in there. Some say that's why Chrome is spyware or adware. Iron fixes this by removing the code to identify your brother. The

For Chrome, Google tells us we can:
From Chrome, click on the "Customize and Control Google Chrome" icon, and in the drop-down menu, select "Options"
Select the "Under the Hood" tab
Under "Cookie settings" select "Restrict how third-party cookies can be used

I've already written about the
Google Ad Cookie Opt-Out. Now Google is introducing even more personal tracking of your private information. Here you can
change your google ad tracking settings and chose to prevent Google from tracking your preferences. There's also a plugin that ensures that the tracking remains deactivated even if you delete your cookies.

Google
just released the
native client, a browser plugin that helps to efficiently use the CPU of a machine accessing a web page. Available for many browsers - except the Internet Explorer. After Google Gears and Chrome this piece of Software is another important step towards establishing the technical infrastructure for a Browser Operating System.
